Professional Valuation. Using our services will give you the confidence that the report is thorough and complies with accepted standards of practice. Confidentiality and Integrity. As CPAs and CVAs, we are bound by legal and professional ethical standards. Reduce Litigation Exposure. A complete and understandable report reduces questions and ambiguities. Establishing an accurate value of a business involves many different approaches and methods which must be selectively matched to the enterprise being valued. The analysis includes sophisticated mathematical calculations, ratio analysis, industry comparisons, economic and market analysis, and relative risk assessment. Our valuation methods include, but are not limited to, capitalizations of earnings and excess earnings, discounted cash flows, and adjusted book values. We will consider applicable minority interest, control and marketability discounts. This will insure that the value is not overstated, particularly for estate and gift tax filings. We will work closely with your attorney and other professional advisors who may be involved. The CVA education and testing process includes training in expert witness procedures and techniques. We have the credentials to be involved in the litigation process from deposition to trial. Certified Valuation Analyst The Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) is an elite designation for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). Gary R. Gomola is a CPA and CVA, making him particularly qualified to provide valuation services. In addition to his background in tax, auditing, financial analysis, and accounting for small businesses, specialized knowledge gained during the CVA certification process has prepared him for the intricate complexities of the business valuation process. To become a CVA, the professional must hold a state license as a CPA, receive comprehensive training, and pass a rigorous examination. To maintain the designation, continued professional education must be completed on an annual basis.
